When you buy
Payments are taken by our reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle collects your payment details; we never see them. Paddle shares your name, email address, country and order details with us, and we use them to:
- make your licence key (it contains the name you bought with) and email it to you;
- help you if you need support, a refund or your key again;
- keep the records the law requires.
Paddle's own use of your information is covered by Paddle's privacy policy.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts this website, stores order records (name, email, order number, licence keys) and answers the plugin's licence checks.
- Resend sends the email with your licence key.
They only use the information to provide these services to us.
This website
This site uses no analytics and no tracking cookies of its own. When you open the checkout, Paddle's checkout loads and may use cookies needed to take your payment.
The plugin
Your trial and licence details are stored on your computer. Once a licence key is activated, Small Hours checks with our server, when you first activate and then once a day while you're online, that the key hasn't been cancelled (after a refund or chargeback). The check sends only the key's serial number and the plugin's version number: no name, email or details about your computer or music, and nothing at all during the trial. Like any web request it reaches our server from your IP address, which isn't stored. Small Hours works offline as normal.
How long we keep it, and your rights
We keep order records for as long as you might need your licence, and at least as long as UK tax law requires. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it where we're not legally required to keep it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
